VIDEO CRITIQUES During the week of April 8th - 12th, you will be creating a video critique of your second novel choice:
Identify the theme, dominant impressions and/or moods of the novel and how the author has developed them (i.e. through plot, characters, language, etc).
How does this theme/message/mood compare to your first novel? Which is stronger? Which is better developed?
Which theme is more important/relevant to you? to grade 9 students? Why?
Which novel will you be defending going forward into the elimination rounds of CSS Reads?
Video critiques will be recorded on Friday, April 12th and/or completed over the weekend
Upload your video to YouTube or Vimeo and bring the link to school on Monday (you can set the security on the video to whatever level you wish)
NEW group pages will be set-up on Edmodo for Monday, April 15th with your groups of 5 for the Round 3 debates and eliminations.
You will be using the blogs and video critiques from the other members of your groups to get up to speed on all of the novels that you will be debating (make sure that you defend your chosen text well in your blog and video!)
